The pedestrians feel disturbed with the existence of street vendors along Jalan Medan Merdeka Timur, Gambir, Central Jakarta.
Why only the monument (Monas) is guarded, but the surrounding is not
"It's likely the Monas' street vendors were moving here. The sidewalk becomes narrow because of their properties," said Kinanta (32), one of pedestrians, Wednesday (8/19).
Kinanta argued the area must be cleaned from street vendors since it is also include in oerderly zone. "Why only the monument (Monas) is guarded, but the surrounding is not," Kinanta added.

"The location is near with Jalan Batu, their living area. We'll control
them immediately," he promised.
